Welcome to 5th Grade!
My goal is to provide a dynamic learning environment where each student can feel safe to learn, grow, make mistakes, and be a leader in order to have a successful year in 5th grade. I strive to develop students who are not only academically ready for middle school but also students who are morally ready to make decisions on their own and have all the skills necessary for a successful future. I feel that it is very important for each student to feel safe, respected, and valued as an individual and as an essential part of a team. Learning in our room will take place as a whole class, in small cooperative learning groups, and individually. I understand that each student learns in their own unique way, and there is no "wrong" way to learn or to show what you have learned. I encourage you to check our blog often to see all the wonderful things we are learning and doing in room 16!
